paving the way for smart living

About Us

How It All Began

Earth Wizards started business in March 2000. The owner, Stacy Anderson, grew up working in all aspects of a family asphalt business: installation, estimating, bidding, and management. When starting Earth Wizards, her passion for clean water inspired her to take paving practices in a different direction. Driveways, parking lots and roadways are obviously still necessary, but approaching these projects with a sensitivity to waterways, habitats, budgets and maintenance became the new goal.  Over the past 20+ years, the entire Earth Wizards team has become quite good at knowing what works and what doesn’t.

Family members, Gary Anderson and Jeff Anderson, lead the paving side of the company with Jeff’s son Derek and Stacy’s son Liam, both great equipment operators and skilled craftsmen after several years’ apprenticeship. The rest of the team has been with us for several years and are a part of our family as well including Shelly Skow, our estimator. She is well-known through social media reviews for being attentive and communicative.

Our installation crews have years of experience and a great deal of knowledge. Steve Jobs said it best: “It doesn’t make sense to hire smart people and tell them what to do; we hire smart people so they can tell us what to do.”

Stacy focuses on the ecological side of the business.  She concentrates on mitigating stormwater runoff by designing parking lots and other developments in ways that compliment the property and engage the community. Creativity leads the design with budget and construction practicalities refining the project. The goal is to be thoughtful and detailed in the design process so the transition to installation is as seamless as possible.

We love what we do.

I have already recommended you! Our consultant, Shelly, was extremely knowledgeable. She explained (the process) in technical detail. She is the reason I chose Earth Wizards over the other 5 bidders. Installation crew was terrific and exceeded my expectations.
